Gesar Karate Club, a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), based in Holsworthy, Devon, is proud to announce that 9 of our athletes have been selected to represent England at the 2026 World Karate Championships in Abu Dhabi – including 5 junior competitors aged 10 to 15!
Though Gesar Karate Club has been competing for only a few years, this will mark our fourth time representing on the world stage – a testament to the commitment of our athletes, coaches, and supporters.
This incredible achievement highlights not only their hard work and dedication but also the strength of community-driven sports. Now, we’re inviting local schools, businesses, and individuals to become part of their journey.

Since joining the World Karate Union (WKU) in 2021, our athletes have proudly represented at local, national, and international competitions – including the WKU World Championships in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

As a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), we operate to benefit the community, not for private profit. We invest in our young athletes’ growth, discipline, and opportunity. Sponsoring us is more than advertising: it’s an investment in local youth and community.
While donations to CICs do not qualify for Gift Aid or charity-specific tax relief, business sponsorships may still be tax-deductible.
If your company receives something in return, such as advertising, brand visibility, or public recognition, your sponsorship may qualify as a marketing expense, which is usually deductible against Corporation Tax.
