Star Skeldon
8th Kyu/ Yellow Belt
Starting her karate journey at just five years old, Star Skeldon dedicated much of her early childhood to training and developing her skills. She stepped away from the sport at the age of eight, taking a break that lasted until she was 24.
Inspired by her partner Mark, who convinced her to give karate another try after she spent time watching him compete, Star made a determined return in 2025, Now progressing through her senior kyu grades, she and Mark train and compete together.

Competition Experience
After spending time supporting her partner Mark at competitions and cheering on the team from the sidelines, Star stepped onto the competition tatami herself this year.
At her very first event back (The English Open) she made an immediate impact, winning Gold in Weapons Kata, which secured her qualification for the England Team. She also earned Bronze in Kata and Bronze in Kumite, marking an outstanding debut performance.
Continuing her competitive momentum at the Interclub competition, Star achieved Bronze in Kata, Bronze in Weapons Kata, and Silver in Kumite.
Her competitive journey has only just begun, but she carries on entering as many as she can to gain experience before stepping to the world stage.
